Major News To Announce Down Under!

You know, I promised myself I wouldn’t make any clichéd references to Australia, but I can’t help myself. When I was told that we were partnering with a printer in Australia, the old standbys (”G’day, mate” and “put another shrimp on the barbie”) immediately came to mind. I told myself I was better than that, that I could be creative and witty without resorting to tired clichés, but apparently I was wrong.

None of that is important though. What is important is that we are partnering with our sixth printer, and that it means a more faster and more efficient experience for our friends in Australia, Asia and surrounding countries. While these benefits may not affect you directly, take comfort in the fact that we’re constantly trying to improve our services and that means you’re likely to see more direct benefits soon, maybe even with our next release!

  1. I have recieved two books now from this printer and would never order another book from Lulu that will be printed by the company in Australia.

    Hi Sharon,
Please accept our apology that your books did not print satisfactorily. We would like the opportunity to correct this problem. I have personally forwarded your remarks to our manager of print partnerships, and trust that they can help resolve this issue. Would you be willing to provide us with your order number so we can follow up on this with you directly?

    Hi Jon,
    The printer is already online.

    Hi Sharon,
I have talked to the manager of our print partnerships, and have been assured that the issue you had was an anomaly. We are placing a reorder for you at no charge, but please let us know if you have any further issues or concerns.

    Thanks,
    Nick

  6. Ok, this time they excelled! They actually sent the books with the covers laminated, binded, and used a better quality paper. The books were brown paper wrapped, bubbled wrapped and placed inside of a box. Lets hope they ship all the books that way.

    Thanks Nic.

    Sharon,
That’s great to hear! I’m glad we were able to get that resolved for you.

  8. This is good news! Is it books only or are other things e.g. calendars included? Will the delivery time now be days rather than weeks?

Excellent move …… now, how about some change so that we can get around this U.S. taxation complexity!

    Nick,

Unfortunately I have to share Sharon R’s first sentiments. I have received repeated proofs with cover alignment issues. I have put this issue through Lulu Support but all I am getting is a much lighter wallet and diminishing patience.

I would appreciate any support you could offer as I can’t release my book to the public until this cover issue is reconciled.
